It turns out that Darren Aronofsky's biblical adaptation "Noah" won't be as biblical as everyone previously imagined. Think more along the lines of "Mad Max," with a splash of "John Carter" (and probably more like "The Fountain" than any movie he's done since). It's thrilling that one of modern cinema's most promising directors is also one of our most imaginative graphic novelists!
I'm definitely going to see "The Dark Knight Rises" when it opens at midnight next Thursday, but what to wear? Vanity Fair has laid out the pros and cons of showing up at the movie in T.J. Maxx's official $199 "Catwoman-inspired" dress. Agreed that something with two sleeves would be optimal, from a snack-smuggling perspective.
Author/comedian Julie Klausner (I Don't Care About Your Band) has a simple dream and she needs everyone's help to make it come true: She wants to pet the Bush's Beans dog. Yesterday the Bean company's dog mascot acknowledged her affection with a "personal" message on Klausner's Facebook fan page/petition, but Julie swears she won't rest until actual petting occurs.
I'm dying to watch this video of a guy doing excellent impressions from "A Game of Thrones," but I just started the series and I'm too afraid of spoilers! Will someone watch this and let me know if it's safe?
