Jonah Hill Drastically Alters Appearance for Scorsese’s ‘The Wolf of Wall Street’

Jonah Hill — sorry, Acadamy Award nominee Jonah Hill — is one of those actors who was never going to be able to coast on his looks, but the young actor has decided to double down for Scorsese’s “The Wolf of Wall Street.” New photos of his character teeth and makeup reveal this to be a Charlize-Theron-in-”Monster”-caliber makeover. Will this transformation push him to new depths in his craft, or will it be more like a cringe-worthy Sharon-Stone-in-”Alpha-Dog” sort of thing? Seeing Hill’s “Slim Shady” look in the last year’s “21 Jump Street” inspires hope, to say the least.

Brad Pitt sassed his mama in public this week, taking umbrage with her public stance against marriage equality, and in the process came out as a supporter of President Obama. Apparently he and Angelina have pledged they won’t be wed until homosexual couples share that right. No word yet from Mama Pitt (coincidentally, also the name of the disapproving Mormon mother in Tony Kushner’s Angels in America) on exactly how much trouble Brad will be in the next time he comes home to visit.

A sort of pre-trailer for “Lincoln” – you heard that right, it’s an ad promoting the actual trailer, which will be released later this week — offers a few tantalizing sights and sounds that almost sort of hint at what we can expect from the long-awaited film: speeches, and flags waving on muddy battlefields. Immediately after the actual trailer debuts, you can join in on a Google Hangout, whatever that is (all is explained here) with director Steven Spielberg and star Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

The new “Star Trek” film officially has a name, and it’s a dilly: “Star Trek Into Darkness.” No punctuation, no explanation, just a sort of veiled promise that they’re taking us (and the characters) somewhere totally new and unknown. Our only request: no vampires.
