Carrie Fisher, you utter tease! The “Star Wars” veteran blabbed about appearing in the upcoming sequels as an “elderly” Leia, only to have a correction released later by her publicist declaring that nothing official has been decided. C’mon, Fisher, are you in or out?

Speaking of sci-fi, do you remember the Hawkeye Initiative? That’s the project where comics artists point out sexism by recreating unnecessarily sexualized drawings of women, except with Hawkeye striking the pose instead. At the recent Emerald City Comic Con, one fellow even cosplayed the idea, playing pretty for the camera in full Avengers regalia.

Guess who’s serious about playing against type? Keri Russell, that’s who! She’s the newest cast member announced for “Dawn of the Planet of the Apes,” ostensibly as one of the humans. Hopefully, we are done with the Kim Hunter/Helena Bonham Carter tradition of burying our leading ladies under a hundred pounds of latex and hair.

If you had any doubts whether the world of ballet is just as cutthroat as portrayed in “Black Swan,” there’s a new wrinkle in the acid attack on the Bolshoi Artistic Director: one of the company’s stars has confessed to organizing the attack out of “personal enmity” toward the victim. Did anyone else hear pulverizing Clint Mansell orchestrations in their head while reading that?
