You read the books. You fell in love with the characters. It's possible, too, that you fantasized about the one and only Christian Grey. And then came the movie news. Fifty Shades of Grey in all of its silver-tied glory was heading toward the silver screen.
And so the opinions started pouring in. Who should take on the role of the vulnerable and lovely Anastasia Steele? Who could possibly embody the part of the sexy and stunningly gorgeous Christian Grey? Who would direct? And who would dare take on the job of translating E.L. James's beloved words into a script that would satisfy?
News of all of the above started revealing itself. Sam Taylor-Johnson took on the direction. (And man, is she perfect for it!) The gorgeous Dakota Johnson said "yes" to the gargantuan Ana Steele role. Jamie Dornan replaced Charlie Hunnam as Christian. Kelly Marcel was hired to write the script.
We've got questions, though. How could we not when a book this adored comes to a new medium? How will these actors measure up? How will the passionate fans of Fifty Shades of Grey embrace the film? And will the final cut incorporate the most essential sex scenes from the book? Finally, we have to ask: Now that this adult-themed erotic literary adaptations is coming to the big screen, what doors does it open?
Without further ado, the trailer for "Fifty Shades of Grey," based on the best-selling novel by E.L. James.
