Based On the book by Kazuki Kaneshiro

Go is a 2001 Japanese coming-of-age romantic drama film directed by Isao Yukisada, based on Kazuki Kaneshiro's novel of the same title, which tells the story of a Japanese-born North Korean teenager and a prejudiced Japanese girl whom he falls for. It was Japan's official submission for Best Foreign Language Film at the 74th Academy Awards, but was not accepted as a nominee.
