Lonesome Dove

Lonesome Dove is a 1989 American epic Western television miniseries directed by Simon Wincer. It is an adaptation of the 1985 novel by Larry McMurtry, in turn based upon an unproduced screenplay by McMurtry and Peter Bogdanovich, and is the first installment in the Lonesome Dove series. It was written for the screen by William D. Wittliff and stars an ensemble cast, headed by Robert Duvall, Tommy Lee Jones, Danny Glover, Diane Lane, and Anjelica Huston. The series originally aired in four installments on CBS, between February 5 and February 8, 1989.
