Based On the book by James Hadley Chase

The Grissom Gang is a 1971 American neo-noir crime film directed and produced by Robert Aldrich, from a screenplay by Leon Griffiths, based on the 1939 novel No Orchids for Miss Blandish by British author James Hadley Chase. It stars Kim Darby, Scott Wilson, Tony Musante, Robert Lansing, Irene Dailey and Connie Stevens. Set in the early-1930s Missouri, the film is about a heiress (Darby) who is kidnapped for ransom by the titular gang, whose unstable leader (Wilson) falls in love with her. This was the second film adaptation of Chase's novel, following the 1948 British film.
