The Hanged Man is a 1964 American made-for-television crime drama film directed by Don Siegel, in which a gunman seeks to avenge the death of his friend, who he believes was murdered. It is considered the second television film in broadcast history. It debuted on NBC on November 18, 1964. The story is based on Ride the Pink Horse, a 1947 film based on a novel by Dorothy B. Hughes.
