Hey everyone, Emma Watson would like you to know that she is quite aware of your feverish campaign to cast her in the Fifty Shades of Grey movie. Fortunately she’s put a positive spin on the interest, stating in an interview: “It’s very exciting that people are starting to see me in a different way. It means that they’re allowing me the space to grow and develop and reincarnate myself.” Whether or not she ends up playing Anastasia Steele, it sounds like we’ll be seeing a bit more of Watson exposure in the coming years.
Did you read the recent news story about the Chinese billionaire who’s offered up $65 million to the man who can woo his lesbian daughter? Well Sacha Baron Cohen did, and it inspired him to mobilize on his next comedy picture, “The Lesbian.” I think it’s the smartest idea he’s come up with since “Borat,” and not a soul in the world besides him could pull it off without turning it into a cheesy romance of some kind.
J.J. Abrams unveiled an astonishingly early clip of the upcoming “Star Trek Into Darkness” (below) on the Conan O’Brien show this week. It’s also astonishingly short — just three frames. Sure, that totals less than a second of actual viewing time, but if you slow it down a whole bunch you can barely see an indistinguishable figure enduring a context-free explosion. Isn’t that just about worth the zero cents that you paid for it?
Books get banned for all sorts of reasons — mostly out of ignorance or sheer lameness. Flavorwire has assembled a wonderful assortment of author’s clever responses to the banning of their work. My favorite is from Justin Richardson, the author of that children’s book about the two male penguins raising a chick: “It’s no more an argument in favor of human gay relationships than it is a call for children to swallow their fish whole or sleep on rocks.”

Best actors to play the title role in this film are Matt Bomer and Alexis Bledel:)
MATT BOMER AND ALEXIS IS THE ONLY TWO FOR THE PARTS OF CHRISTAIN AND ANNA
I think Matt Bomer is the best choice for Christian Grey. He is exactly what I imagined as I read the books.
Matt Bomer and Alexis Bledel look like robots. They would suck. You need good acting for these parts or it will ruin the movie. Tom Hardy and Emilia Clarke.
Yes Matt Bomer! Alexis Bledel would be lovely too although not exactly how I imagined Anna. She’s naturally slim so that’s what we need to look for here.
*we need to look for someone slim is what I meant. Alexis is slim and kind of curvy too. These characters need to be spot on.
Most def on alexis and matt! He has that christian look and Ana is a
Sweet beautiful girl just like a
lexis!
i prepare ian somerhalder for christian grey character. he is perfect.
SERIOUSLY DID SOME OF THIS PPL EVEN READ THE BOOKS? THE DETAIL AND MANNERS OF BOTH CHRISTIAN GREY AND ANASTASIA STEELE ARE VERY SPECFIC AND ONLY CERTAIN TYPE OF ACTOR AND DUE THIS CHARACTERS JUSTICE… LIKE ONLY ONE NAME COMES TO MIND WHEN I THINK OF WHO SHOULD BE CHRISTIAN…. IAN SOMERHALDER THAT MAN IS PERFECT FOR THE ROLL. AND THERES ONLY TWO ACTRESSES I THINK FOR ANASTASIA… AMANDA SEYFIELD AND ALEXANDRA DADDARIO BOTH ARE COMFORTABLE WITH THEIR BODIES TO FULFILL THE ROLE…
No douts, Matt Bomer is my choice. Actually there is no one as perfectly as him , To the role.
I don’t see Emma as Anastasia at all…sorry.
I would much rather see A. Skarsgard in the title role, Ms. Watson would be wonderful in the role of Ana. Mr. Bomer being gay would not work out well for many who want to see the movie, Mr. Somerhaulder is too little for the role.
if she plays Anna I’m soo not gonna watch it
100% Matt Bomer and Alexis Bledel. Hope your reading all these comments E L James
Henry Cavill for Christian Grey!!!
Ian Somerhalder is the only choice as I see it. He even has his name in there already…. Christ IAN. Say no more.
I agree with Karen IAN SOMERHALDER is the only Christian Grey!!!!!!!
Definitely Ian!! I think he would be perfect as Christian!!
I don’t like Emma as Ana. … She just doesn’t fit the Ana image the book describes.
ian somerhalder is the perfect choice for cristain grey
What about Jennifer Lawrence (hunger games Catnis)? She fits the Ana image in my mind. Just a suggestion.
I was thinking the exact same thing. She was the one I had in mind. I think she would be perfect!
I’d like to see Christain Bale as Christain because of his intensity and I think Emma would make a great Anna. She looks naive, but has a sense of herself. Although looks are a big part of this movie, it is not the only thing. Christain needs to be able to act with his eyes, to be intense with his emotionals. Anna needs to be young and fresh, naive but adventurous as many 22 year olds are.
Why is everyone insisting on Emma, she’s too smart and too self-made to play Ana (a compliment), she should play Ana’s friend. I’ve always wanted Emilia Clarke to play Ana, she has the face of Ariel from the Little Mermaid and the sensuality of Daenerys. I want Henry Cavill to play Christian, Just the thought of him being British is a plus already. But, if this film were in the 80′s Julian Sands would’ve been perfect (Room with a View). I’ve been watching trailers from David Cronenberg’s films he would be perfect to direct this film maybe he can give depth to some of the terrible writing parts.
Oh no, not Emma!! Shes sooooo not Anna!!!!
Alexis Bledel is tottaly Anna!!!! And Matt Bommer is a perfect C. Grey.
